This is a fortune from a cookie that Karen Green opened in June of last year and has truly been the line that describes GREEN LABEL DESIGNS best! Sister in laws Shannon and Karen Green started GLD in June 2009 when Shannon made a skirt (which is now The Signature Skirt) for Karen to wear for her birthday party in NYC.  The design of the skirt was collaborated on and when Karen wore the skirt in NYC, the reception it got was unbelievable.  Two days later she was in Charleston, SC where Anna Lassiter of Eden Boheme decided that she just had to sell this skirt in her fabulous boutique on King Street.  Since then, this sister in law team has created a small but perfectly put together collection of impeccably tailored pieces in beautiful satins and silks.  Karen and Shannon's line is best known for simple, classic, elegant silhouettes with a modern twist.  You can find their creations in luxury boutiques in Charleston (SC), Greenville (SC), Palm Beach (FL), Atlanta (GA), Albany (GA), Savannah (GA), Boston (MA), and Tulsa (OK).

Shannon Green graduated with a degree in Fashion Design from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Tampa where she resides with her husband Michael (karen's older brother) and beautiful daughter Sydney (2).  Prior to starting GLD, Shannon has worked as a couture bridal and veil designer for her own company Custom Bridal by Shannon Green. She is a 3rd generation seamstress with an impeccable eye for details and perfection in her craft.

Karen Green graduated with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing from Laboratory Institute of Technology in NYC and has since done retail consulting for small boutique businesses and also started a company in 2006 offering lifestyle, wardrobe and image consulting for executive men in NYC and Greenwich, CT.   Karen resides in NY still but since GLD has started, has spent most of her time down in Tampa, FL where all of the manufacturing and production for the line is done.  Green Label Designs has essentially become a family business where Karen's parents Robert and Lucina along with sister Laura, have all gotten involved in some capacity.... everyone has been so supportive of the girls in their exciting endeavor!
